
Thin Martain approached Owen with a brief to create the brand for Email Britain, a digital domesday book. Windows Live Hotmail and the British Library commissioned the project to celebrate and document 10 years of Hotmail.
The campaign was designed to encourage the British public to share memorable emails with Hotmail; to archive and trace the evolution of British email culture.
Owen produced illustration to represent a wide range of British history, culture and identity, from the archetypal cup of tea to The Angel of the North, from Doctor Who to the native Roe Deer.
The campaign has been an enormous success, totalling over 25,000 responses.
